How we got together Jazz Point Ibiza Festival, that&#8217;s were I met Joachim K\u00fchn in 2020&#8217;s edition where I was still a teenager in the audience in awe of the jazz masters on stage. Years of progress later, and after being spotted by the promoter of the festival, NYC jazz agent Joel Chriss, who used to represent legends like Pharoah Sanders, Elvin Jones, Ornette Coleman, McCoy Tyner,.. On 2024 edition, Joel proposed me to organize the jam sessions and to play with Rob Luft on his concert. That&#8217;s where I met Rob; we started the concert in quartet with Santi deBriano on bass, and Corrie Dick on drums, later joined by Charles Owens on tenor saxophone and Rob Clearfield on keys. All in all, audience members pointed out something different and special sticked out from the quartet sound, and that sparkled a curiosity in both of us to hope to be able to play together again soon. Next year, in summer 2025, I could invite Rob to play in Ibiza for a second concert, and it was great, we confirmed our spark of curiosity and knew we should play more often to develop our music together. Apart from that we had so much summer fun in Ibiza, snorkelling, having nice tapas, and meeting some nice people at our concert.\u00a0 Still, the project is at a young stage and doesn&#8217;t need to be rushed, but with time, we hope to be collaborating more often and materialize our music into a beautiful album!
